From the dancefloor to the decks, Noctifae is the DJ persona of Melanie Dawn—a mystical, playful alter ego that has evolved into a powerful creative expression.

For three decades, Melanie has been inspired by electronic music and its culture. Beyond co-creating Living Fae and the Sunset Campout Faerie Ring alongside Anne Elizabeth, her journey began in the ’90s as an indi rave culture music editor/writer and radio show producer/host – for a female collective. She went on to serve as music coordinator for a feature film. Throughout the years, she has contributed to environment production for transformational art, music, and community events ranging from intimate gatherings to large-scale festivals. Her work across music, event production, digital media, the healing arts and creative storytelling reflects a lifelong passion for building experiences that inspire connection and transformation.

Blending organic house, Afro house, indie dance, tech house, deep house, and hypnotic techno with bass-driven grooves, Noctifae crafts immersive journeys that dissolve the line between ritual and rave.

A resident of the CRC collective and one half of the mystical DJ duo Pirate Faeries alongside Empress Anne, Noctifae dissolves the boundaries between rave and ceremony. Whether at boutique festivals, hidden gatherings, or intimate club nights, she invites audiences to surrender to the music and step through the veil into hidden worlds.
